  20.         Birthdays and Anniversaries for Personal Ancestral File (BA4PAF)
  21.         is a program that will create a list of birthdays or wedding
  22.         anniversaries, sorted by day of the year, from the information
  23.         found in a PAF database.  The user has the option to select
  24.         birthdays or anniversaries for everyone or just those for the
  25.         living.  The output will be placed on the screen, the printer, or
  26.         to a user-designated file.  BA4PAF uses only the INDIV2.DAT,
  27.         MARR2.DAT, and NAME2.DAT files.  Other files of PAF are not used
  28.         nor are GEDCOM files.

  30.         Only those birthdays or anniversaries that have actual dates,
  31.         consisting of at least the day and month, are used to generate the
  32.         lists.  The list will be sorted from 1 January to 31 December,
  33.         with the year determining the order within the individual date. 
  34.         For the "only for those living" lists, the criteria is:  No death
  35.         date, birth date within 105 years or wedding date within 85 years
  36.         and not divorced.  The option #4 wedding anniversary list will
  37.         list any marriage with at least one person living.

  39.         BA4PAF is more than just a list generator of birthdays and
  40.         anniversaries.  The author finds it useful for identifying
  41.         duplicate entries, either of individuals or marriages.  Two
  42.         individuals with the same name and birthdate are almost a sure
  43.         sign of a duplicate entry. The same is true for marriages.  This
  44.         is why BA4PAF lists the person's RIN on the birthday lists and the
  45.         MRIN and RINs on the anniversary lists.
